Launching in 2025, Yoreflix is an over-the-top subscription video on demand service featuring and specializing in historical drama titles for film and television. Featuring a catalogue of carefully curated library and original content, as well as a separate subscription option for dramatized but educational short form kids’ content, let Yoreflix take you back in time.Totally and always ad-free, Yoreflix is a monthly subscription service launching in Q4 2025. We are now on the lookout for the best historical and period drama content. Co Founder and CEO : Imogen Cooper
After working in acquisitions for kids’ TV and as an executive producer in the film and television industry since leaving university, Yoreflix is the result of Imogen’s combined love for the entertainment industry, innovative technology and historical studies.
Imogen says: With Yoreflix, we intend to fill a gap in the market that’s become increasingly apparent to me over the last few years as a historian working within the film and television industries. So instead of trying to convince other people to commission more content for the ever-hungry historical drama audience, we’re starting by putting it all in one place. With room for originals too, Yoreflix will be the go-to site for fellow historical drama fanatics who want to stop paying for multiple subscriptions just to access the scattered and under-represented genre of programme they really want to watch.

With over 40 years of experience in the software development industry, and over 30 years' experience of forming, growing and running software businesses, David brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Yoreflix. This is an incredibly exciting time to be working in the film and drama industry. There is so much innovation and creative energy in-play at the moment that being involved in the development of the Yoreflix platform is one of the most exciting projects that I've ever been involved with.

We keep the data that we collect and hold about you to the absolute bare minimum.Our apps typically collect a name, an email address and (optionally) a mobile phone number (only used for sending 2-factor authentication codes). The legal basis for this is legitimate interest.For apps that are restricted to certain geographic regions, we will use your IP address to verify your location.In order to minimize the inconvenience of 2-factor authentication, we hold your IP address as part of keeping track of what sessions you currently have open for an app.The above information is NEVER shared with other parties, except for data entered via a Mailchimp or Stripe page, which carry their own GDPR policies. This is excluding any law enforcement agencies that legally warrant sight of the data.There will always be an option to unsubscribe to any mailing lists you sign up for, but if you’re actively subscribed to our service, or have paid for one of our products, we will keep this information until otherwise notified.Any information held by Yoreflix is stored in encrypted form on our secure servers.
